Travelling to Southampton:
Full travel information can be found here and is summarised below.
From the M3: leave the M3 at junction 14, following signs for Southampton A33. Follow the A33 until you come to a roundabout at which you need to continue straight ahead. Turn left at the lights into Burgess Road and keep going until you reach the next set of traffic lights where you should turn right onto University Road. Take the first left for the pay and display car park.
From the M27: leave the M27 at Junction 5, which is signed for Southampton/Airport/Eastleigh/A335. Follow the signposts onto the A35/A335 Southampton/Swaythling. Continue along Stoneham Lane dual carriageway following signs for University/Swaythling - South Stoneham Tower can be seen straight ahead. At the first set of traffic lights go straight on. At the second set of traffic lights still following the signs for University/Swaythling, go straight on. At the third set of traffic lights, continue going straight. At the fourth set of traffic opposite McDonalds, turn right onto Burgess Road. Continue along Burgess Road until you reach the next set of lights where you turn left into the the Highfield campus.
Please note, parking can be difficult - we do have a Pay and Display car park on the Highfield Campus, and there is a two-hour free public parking scheme on the streets surrounding the Campus. Blue badge holders with mobility difficulties may pre-organise parking on campus by contacting Disability Services on 023 80 597726.
Fast services from London (Waterloo Station) and Bournemouth/Weymouth serve both Southampton Central and Southampton International Airport (Parkway), which is marginally closer to the Highfield Campus. Local services and stopping trains from London and Bournemouth/Weymouth also serve Swaythling Station. For full details of train times please see the timetable information at www.rail.co.uk.
When alighting at Southampton International Airport (Parkway), taxi services are to be found in front of the station waiting room (Platform 1) and fares cost around £6. Half-hourly services run by Uni-link Buses (U1) also leave from there for the Highfield Campus.
When alighting at Southampton Central, head for Platform 4, and the exit marked Uni-link Buses. The U1 leaves every half-hour from outside to Highfield Campus. Taxi ranks are outside both Platform 1 and Platform 4 station exits and a fare to Highfield Campus costs around £6.
From the Town Quay, you can pick up the U1 and U6 Uni-link bus services direct to Highfield Campus.
Southampton is easily reached from London-Heathrow airport and there are also direct flights from Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam to Southampton airport. Follow the Exit on the airport side of the station where you'll find a taxi rank, plus the U1 Uni-link bus service (every 30 minutes) direct to the Highfield Campus.
Uni-link provides an interconnecting bus service between all University campuses, the city centre (Civic Hall and Marlands shopping centre) and public public transport services (rail, air and ferry). The Uni-link flat fare is £1 single or £2 for an all-day travel ticket. Please see our Uni-link pages for full details.
Conference accommodation will be available in the Chamberlain University Halls of Residence. The accomodation details can be found here. The Sunday evening registration and reception will also be held here.
